Tomorrow's People started as a creative outlet during the COVID-19 lockdown. I’ve always loved making things with my hands, and sewing quickly became a peaceful way to express that. I started creating my own patterns and making tops for myself. When family and friends encouraged me to turn it into a business, I decided to give it a try in 2021.

The response was amazing. I began selling on Depop and was featured on their Explore page. My Instagram grew quickly, and soon I launched my own website. Orders started pouring in, and seeing people wear my designs—whether online or in person—was an incredible feeling. It was clear that I had created something people loved.

However, when I moved to Sydney to study architecture, the university workload became overwhelming, and I had to put the business on hold. What was meant to be a short break turned into a three-year pause.

Though Tomorrow’s People is currently closed, the dream of relaunching it has never gone away.
