The Echoes of Movement

The vibrance of a city is created by the people within it. Just like how a

building is just a set of walls, floors and a roof without the people occupy-

ing its rooms. Therefore, The Echoes of Movement explores how the

movement, interactions and voices of people creates life within a

building.

By exploring the unique connection of a concert hall and fitness studio,

this project creates a unique perspective on how we interact with the

environment around us. It makes us consider how the simple acts of

living are so vital to this world. Even just by having a conversation with

someone on the street, walking your dog, or sitting down to each lunch,

we create a whole new chapter in this world, and it can quite often influ-

ence the people around you.

Therefore, I have designed an interactive building, which challenges the

relationship and definition of performer and audience, whilst also portray-

ing how people bring life to the building through interacting with a variety

of different architectural elements and details.
